Why does it matter that the PDF is “real text”?
Most employers run applications through software that reads the text out of your file before a person sees it. A résumé exported as a picture of itself is a blank page to that software, and you never find out that is why you heard nothing. This builder writes vector text, so the words are there to be read.
Is my information uploaded?
No. The whole thing runs in your browser and the PDF is assembled on your device. Your draft is saved to that browser's local storage so you can come back to it, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Will my draft still be here tomorrow?
Yes, in the same browser on the same device. Clearing your browsing data removes it, and it does not follow you to another machine — download the PDF if you want a copy that lasts.
How long should a résumé be?
One page is right for most people with under about ten years of experience; two is fine beyond that. The builder flows onto a second page automatically rather than cramming, so let the content decide.
Should I add a photo?
In India, the UK and the US, usually not — many employers strip them, and some discard applications that include one. Parts of Europe expect one. Follow the local convention rather than a template.
