Apple has once again shifted the paradigm in laptop performance with the introduction of the M5 family of chips. Built on a groundbreaking 2-nanometer process, the M5 offers a 25% performance boost over the M4 while consuming significantly less power.
For video editors, 3D modelers, and software developers, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros offer desktop-class performance in a portable form factor. The most shocking revelation during the keynote was the battery life: a promised 30 hours of continuous use, even when running intensive applications like Final Cut Pro or Xcode.
"Our goal was never just to make the fastest chip, but to make the most efficient one," said Johny Srouji, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Technologies. The new MacBooks are available for purchase starting today.
